Alienware M14x - Definitive Proof?
I’ve been following the little information that has trickled out so far about the Alienware M14x from Dell. The main source of the information thus far has come from some Chinese blog, who seemed to have gotten their hands on a review model of some sort. Some other minor details have made there way to a few other sources, which Engadget has kindly compounded here.
Today, the existence of the M14x was further confirmed when a page at Dell.com was found to show both the M14x and M18x, which was featured on Geek.com.
That left me digging for more, and lo and behold, I uncovered a Dell.com website containing the “Mobile Manual” and “Service Manual” for the M14x. You can find/download it from here.
Here’s a little preview:
Although Dell hasn’t officially announced it, I think that is quite definite proof that the M14x is on it’s way, and it’s about darn-tootin’ time. I’ve been on the fence between the M11x and M15x, the former for having too small of a screen (not to mention those ULV processors) and the latter one for being way to heavy to carry around.
Now, to start saving up and list my current laptop (Dell L501x) on eBay.
